Interested in joining us?
We are a friendly society that welcomes new members
either from other groups or if you are new to
re-enactment.
The 17th Century is one of the cheapest re-enactment
periods to portray, and can be one of the most
enjoyable. Most re-enactors start on the re-enactment
road with the Civil War period, some move on to other
eras but most get bitten by the bug and stay. Some of
our members have been doing the 17th century for 40
years and still love it.
We
are a family focused group with most members bringing
their family's along to join in with the fun. Children
play as much a part in our events as the adults, most of
them stealing the lime light and the thunder from us. We
try as a group to show 17th Century life not just the
military side, with roles as household members, camp
followers and civilians all having a major part in our
scenarios as well as the soldiers.
We focus on looking right and getting it right, All new
members will be lent all necessary items of until the
time come when you want to join our ranks as a full
member. We hope that new members wishing to
stay with us have at least a pair of authentic shoes and
a linen shirt/chemise by the first year. With members of
our group updating there kit there are always plenty of
cheap items of kit for sale.
